Risk factors, clinical, and laboratory characteristics of patients with a diagnosis of COVID-19

Objective: An outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) occurred in late 2019. A better understanding this will help us preventing and managing it. This study evaluated the risk factors clinical laboratory characteristics patients admitted to Shahid Sadoughi hospital Yazd with a diagnosis COVID-19. Methods: cross-sectional was conducted on COVID-19 May 2020, Iran. Patients’ information, including their symptoms at admission, history smoking or drug/ alcohol abuse, Td (tetanus, diphtheria) vaccine, radiographic/computed tomography (CT) scan findings, blood oxygen saturation, recorded. The were also asked about previous diabetes, hypertension, autoimmune disorder, cancer diseases heart, lung, liver, thyroid. Laboratory height, weight body mass index Statistical analyses performed using SPSS 21. Results: mean age 86 enrolled 61.40±17.37 years, which 56 (65.11%) had mild pulmonary involvement 30 (34.89%) severe involvement, according CT results. Also, 26 (30.2%) all diabetes (36%) high pressure, but current smokers (6%) rare. In level neutrophil, creatinine, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) higher than involvement. Out 47 vaccination last 5 years. Only one patient group vaccination. Conclusion: lower percentage lymphocytes as well levels neutrophils, LDH observed Numerous factors, especially more prominent abnormalities, determine severity disease, these can physicians know its prognosis. These findings further clarify effect vaccine should be investigated future studies.
